Responsibilities
• Maintaining high standards of hygiene
• Preparing the ingredients for a more senior chef
• Measuring dish ingredients and portion sizes accurately
• Dealing with deliveries and stock rotation
• Basic understanding of the brand and the cookery.
• Service of food to assigned task standards.
• To sustain high presentation & correct positioning and cooking of food at all times with guidance from senior chefs.
• To maintain the highest standard of cleanliness and up keep of equipment.
• To ensure daily, weekly and monthly cleaning duties are carried out as instructed by senior chefs.
• To contribute to the building of the team and efficient team spirit and an active interest in employee’s welfare, safety and development.
• To help and maintain a maximum yield in the kitchen in relation to the gross profit and wastage
• Service of food to assigned task standards
• To ensure the “mise en place” is performed to the high standard required at all times
