Duties and responsibilities

• To develop the detailed commissioning procedures for Electrical Items & Packages, procedures for the functional tests of the electrical Items.
• To check and prepare relevant Commissioning punch list.
• Follow up of activities according to the schedule.
• To organize and manage the Sub-Contractor works following the working and safety procedures.
• To keep records of all activities performed in the logbook for the purpose of monitoring the progress achieved and apply necessary recovery actions.
• To supervise the activities of electrical substation power on and motor run in field.
• Ensure the application of the TAG-OUT/LOCKOUT.
• Support the Vendor specialists in the execution of the job and coordinate their actions with the Commissioning supervisors.
• Supervise the works of vendors’ specialists and ensure their efficient utilization.
• During the execution of the interlocks, logic and sequence test, check that all the actions required or actuated from the board operator are properly performed.
• Carry out operation of the starters as per the approved work permit request
• To ensure that all the activities are witnessed by the Client, prepare and sign off all relevant certificates and hand over to the certification engineer.

Person Specification

Knowledge & Qualifications

• University Degree or Diploma in relevant discipline or equivalent.

Experience

• Relevant experience in construction/modernisation of oil & gas /industrial sector/ EPC projects large refinery plants;
• At least 3 years of experience in the specific discipline;
• Similar role covered in last three projects, of comparable size;
• Experience working on the Contractor side.

• Fluent English;
• Excellent IT and analytical skills;
• Attention to detail, excellent communications skills;
• Strong interpersonal, team-oriented skills, self-motivation and direction, with a strong bias toward timely performance and problem resolution.
