Lead Painting & Insulation / Painting & Insulation Inspector

• Engineer of Mechanical, Metallurgical, Chemical, or equivalent with a minimum experience of 7 years for Lead position and 5 years for Inspector in the Oil & Gas Industry Construction, Installation and Fabrication or similar activities
• Have previous experience of Inspection for Refinery Piping, Mechanical Equipment, Steel Structure Painting & Insulation
• Holding SSPC and/or NACE Painting & Coating Level 2 certificates/or equivalent and familiar to related national & international codes & standards are preferable

Work covers, including but not limited to the following tasks:

Construction

- Incorporation of construction requirements in Engineering and Construction activities
- Participation in site arrangement studies, when required, to ensure access for plant equipment and construction equipment
- Implementation of proper communication and interface between management and the construction site
- Optimum utilization of prefabrication and pre-assembly
- Preparation of Mechanical Completion checklist and manuals
- Review Specifications for constructability
- Development of construction logic, sequence planning, and activity durations for the Project plan in order to achieve a construction driven Project schedule
- Review past construction experiences from similar jobs to identify, "Lessons learned", or "How to do it better next time" and propose improved Service methods to Construction
- Participate in plot plan reviews for jobsite accessibility and improved erection methods
- Evaluate roadways and railheads for handling and transport of equipment and materials with particular attention for heavy and oversize loads
- Evaluate and recommend opportunities to Construction for pre-fabrication, pre-assembly, modularization, and offsite fabrication
- Develop the most effective path of construction, and in conjunction with the cost and scheduling engineers, confirm the required-on-site dates for critical equipment and bulk materials
