FINCA International is one of the leading global networks of microfinance institutions, providing financial services to hundreds of thousands of clients in 21 country programs in Africa, Eurasia and Latin America. Currently FINCA Azerbaijan is looking for a Branch Manager.

Goal: Branch Manager is responsible for the direction and oversight of the assigned Branch Office, including financial services operations, and administration.

Reports to: Assigned Regional Operations Manager

Responsibilities:

• Ensure quality financial services delivery through regular field visits, including the monitoring and evaluation of marketing/sales efforts, business analysis and client screening, loan disbursements, payment collection, and other aspects.  Coach financial services personnel on ways to improve all aspects of financial services delivery;
• Participate regularly in Credit Committees to ensure high technical quality of business analysis and credit decisioning.  Mentor other Credit Committee members to strengthen their capacity to make effective credit decisions;
• Ensure ongoing marketing of financial services in the assigned operating area, through a range of channels, in keeping with the FINCA Azerbaijan marketing plan.  Recommend new / improved marketing mechanisms as appropriate;
• Oversee Branch staffing to ensure efficiency, productivity, and smooth operations, execute staffing decisions (hiring, firing, promotion);
• Develop monthly targets and outreach plans for the Branch, and submit these to the Regional Operations Manager for approval.  Assist in FINCA Azerbaijan cash flow and liquidity planning through on time submission of disbursement projections and operational expense requirements. 

Required knowledge and skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Finance, Economics or related field, or equivalent work experience is required.
• 3-year experience minimum in banking or lending institutions with SME/microlending focus
• 1 year experience managing and motivating staff (head of branch/division/unit etc.)
• Experience in developing and implementing strategic/operational plans Excellent organizational, planning, analytical and problem-solving skills,
• High level of customer service and strong willingness to work in the field;
• Strong business management and negotiation skills;
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and training skills;
• Excellent technical report writing skills and computer literacy;
• Fluency in Azerbaijani or Russian is a must. English is a plus.

Other requirements for the position:

• Readiness to travel throughout Azerbaijan.
