Job Title: Vendor Auditor

Location: Azerbaijan, Onshore

A vacancy has arisen externally for a Vendor Auditor as part of the Onshore Business Unit and is available for Azerbaijani citizens only.

This role will be part of the Supply Chain Team, within the Procurement Department, reporting to the Country Supply Manager.

The Vendor Auditor will be undertaking vendor audits in line with predetermined schedules, assisting by leading other audits, facilitate vendor management processes, and delivering improvement of vendors’ performance. The Vendor Auditor is also responsible for providing support in the resolution of issues related to supplier performance.

Key Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

• Assess compliance of systems, facilities, and procedures per applicable regulations through audits and assessments, assuring compliance to regulatory requirements and Company’s policies.
• Provide feedback in the form of audit observations, formulate recommendations, and review corrective actions to determine if corrective actions have been properly implemented, proven to be effective, and are being maintained.
• Primarily focus on key suppliers whose processes are more comprehensive and critical to the business and will include participation in audits.
• Participate in strategic initiatives to improve compliance and standards of audits.
• Plan and conduct internal system audits and external supplier audits.
• Maintain approved supplier list, audit schedule and participate in supplier management processes.
• Gather internal and external audit metrics and presents to SC management for analysis.
• Maintain awareness of SCM and auditing best practice in relation to the oil & gas marketplace and act as the functional expert in these matters.
• Deliver allocated targets from the global supply chain annual business plan.
• Assist the supply chain leadership to deliver the allocated targets in the annual business plan.
• Seek assistance from the supply chain leadership to deliver improvements in the monthly KPI reporting.
• Make a significant contribution to the creation of supply chain procedures and their ongoing revision to reflect changes in business practice.
• Meet the required Company policies including requirements for ISO Standards.

Key Skills/Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree (preferably in technical) or equivalent industry experience with exposure to Oil & Gas or related industries.
• Technical background and understanding of the audit process and of requirements related to supply chain management systems and compliance is desirable.
• Excellent oral/written communications skills.
• Interpersonal skills, leadership, tact, open mindedness, maturity, organizational/administrative skills and sound judgment.
• A skilled negotiator, highly analytical, creative and an effective communicator.
• A persistent attention to details and ability to maintain a focus on simplicity while dealing with complex challenges.
• Must be well organized, proactive and a good communicator.
• Understanding of the Oil & Gas sector marketplace, strong commitment to safe working practices, policies and legislation.
• Fluency in Azerbaijani and English languages (both verbal and written) is must.
• ASQ certification is desired.
• SAP Skills are desirable.
• Experience within an equivalent role is advantageous.
