About the Company:

AR branch of “Karabakh Operating Company” (KOC) is looking for Planning Engineer. The KOC was registered in Azerbaijan on the 13 May 2019. KOC is an operator of the Karabakh project on behalf of SOCAR Karabakh LLC and was established for the purpose of managing the field development activities.

Planning Engineer

Job Responsibilities:

• Update and maintain schedule data to ensure project consistency and optimization.
• Create a formal communication plan for both team members and management.
• Frequently will be assigned as team leader; having indirect responsibility for team members’ completion of tasks to the project plan.
• Ensure contractors provide resource loaded schedules at determined intervals to make sure construction is being completed on time and within budget.
• Create and maintain project capital and non-capital spending plan.
• Create and maintain project financial justification.
• Support the use/integration of project and contract management systems into the daily operation of the business.
• Provide support for the administration of contracts including the scope of works & tender/contract preparation, and correspondence.
• Recognize and understand competing for business requirements and make recommendations for the overall good of the projects team.
• Perform project progress monitoring duties including identifying critical activities and reviewing forecasts with progress achieved to date.
• Assist the Project Controls Manager with evaluating schedule impacts arising from sourcing decisions.
• Meet all established project deadlines.

Job requirements:

• A BS in Project Management, Engineering, Business or other related discipline.
• Project Management Institute (PMI) qualifications or similar is an advantage.
• Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in planning and scheduling in the oil and gas industry.
• Competent in communicating in English, Azeri languages
• Exposure to cost engineering, planning and contracts administration.
• Experience in oil & gas industry processing, infrastructure design/construction, or heavy engineering operations preferred.
• Generally a combination of at least 3 or more years of project management and/or specific technical experience with designs, processes, or business practices.
• Demonstrated ability to work with multiple stakeholders and prioritize requests.
• Well developed computer literacy specifically including MS Office suite, Primavera Suite (both 3.1 and Enterprise(P6), MS Project (Gantt charts).
• Good organizational skills.
