Vice–President for QHSE

ROLE OVERVIEW:

A leading Oil & Gas company, located in in Baku, Azerbaijan is looking for an exceptional VP QHSE.

The role will be a Senior Leadership appointment reporting directly to the CEO of the company. A successful incumbent will be responsible for Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental management for operations of a leading Oil & Gas Company. They will be setting the vision and strategy to ensure that the business meets required international industry standards of health, safety and environmental compliance, and through collaboration with the leadership team, ensure day-to-day QHSE compliance of all operations.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Accountable for company QHSE Management System
• Develop and enforce policies to establish a culture of quality, health and safety, and environment excellence.
• Develop and execute quality, health and safety and environmental plans in line with legal guidelines and customer requirements.
• Ensure compliance with relevant international and Azerbaijan Republic QHSE legislation and reporting to regulatory authorities when required.
• Maintain and provide continuous improvement to the Company QHSE systems to ensure ISO and associated accreditation compliance.
• Organize inspections of operations and equipment both Offshore and Onshore to ensure relevant requirements and standards and mitigate unsafe conditions
• Lead and support initiatives and best practice activities in all areas of QHSE Management.
• Develop regular onsite training, supervision, compliance audits, incident investigations and safety cultural assessments.
• Investigate and complete root cause analysis on all incidents, develop corrective action plans to address root basic causes; when appropriate, develop action plans for personnel retraining, provide coaching and counseling, and/or recommend disciplinary action.
• Collaborate with HR and Training teams to identify and develop training interventions.

ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS:

Education:

• University degree Preferably in Safety Management, Industrial Hygiene or related field preferred.
• NEBOS, CPS or relevant professional qualification.

Experience:

• Minimum 10 years relevant experience in oil & gas, or petrochemical industry with broad QHSE knowledge.
• Mixed field and corporate experience managing safety and quality programs.
• Knowledge and experience in relevant QHSE management systems & organizations.
• Extensive occupational health, safety and environmental policy & procedure writing and program development, implementation, and training experience.
