Job responsibilities:

• Maintain the material replacement system (MRP) daily to ensure all purchase orders for raw materials and packaging are raised within the correct timescales, specification and quantity to meet daily production demand schedule
• Receiving of articles, conduct preliminary inspection on articles maintained including obvious damage, hidden damage inspection, customer paperwork.
• Performs the essential repair induction functions of the receiving inspectors as required.
• Inspection of incoming raw materials to ensure acceptable quality and inspection of incoming certifications for validity and acceptability.
• Management of all certifications of incoming piece parts electronically and hard copy.
• Assuring that all items, which have shelf life restrictions, are properly identified & maintained.
• Performs timely processing, closure and resolution of discrepancies via routine customer and supplier contact and follow-up
• Ensure all materials are clearly labelled with PO number, Client Ref and quantity
• Management of stock levels
• Management of supply vessel movements
• Responsible for all aspects of Site Materials Control & Warehouse Operations
• Responsible for overseeing identification, shipping and disposal of the project surplus
• Leads and coordinates all Warehouse functions and the personnel assigned to it: including but not limited to receiving, validating material per material inspection, material movement, preservation, storage and outbound logistics.
• Arrange QA/QC support as required.
• Manage inbound/outbound site logistics, site purchasing for construction and operations
• Establishing criteria for the effective management of inventory, inventory accuracy, storage and movement of goods and services
• Oversees the receipts of materials including OS&D reporting when necessary
• Contributing to the establishment of tactical plans to achieve cost savings in strategic sourcing, inventory, warehousing and transportation objectives
• Ensuring material received is the material ordered, inspected for damage and meets required specification
• Ensuring documentation is complete supporting managed material and kept on file for record
• Maintain inventory of remaining / scrapped / sold equipment
• Maintain accurate identification of equipment / materials stored in warehouse or yard.
• Ensure that all materials movement are recorded into SAP to meet requirements as it pertains to documentation and condition for issue and re-use of returned materials.
• Ensuring that all materials at the warehouse are stored correctly, are secure and in safe condition, free of damage in accordance with normal procedures.
• Partake in regular briefings with PSCM Supply Base Team.

Qualifications/skills:

• University degree and any certification pertaining to QHSE.
• 5 years Materials Management experience.
• Ability to effectively multi-task in challenging situations
• Understand the need for close inter-departmental working relationships to ensure timely delivery of materials in line with Project Plan.
• Basic understanding of material specifications and standards.
• Ability to check and verify materials against relevant certification.
• Comprehensive understanding of stock management principles.
• Capable of working and delivering in complex working environment and under pressure.
• Strong computer and database management skills.
• Creativity and drive to build and improve upon current processes and systems.
• Must possess strong organizational skills with an attention to detail and follow up.
