Position: Revenue and Accounts analyst

The role possesses critical thinking skills and the ability to understand and manipulate financial data to provide insightful observations, identify issues and communicate these effectively.  The role is expected to act independently with minimum supervision to produce timely financial reporting package as required by Management.

Job Responsibilities:

• Prepare Cash Flow, Profit or Loss and Balance Sheet statements;
• Analyse accounting data for completeness and accuracy;
• Coordinate with operational departments to  collect cost and revenue data of business activity;
• Analysis of revenue and cost accruals, actual sales and costs, comparison of actual with budget figures, etc.;
• Perform routine and month-end accounting processes, such as recording journal entries, invoice issuance and payment postings, etc.;
• Ensure accurate recording of financial transactions, posting within the general ledger, accounts reconciliation and timely correction of identified issues;
• Maintain proper accounting documentation;
• Assist in technical compilation  of annual budgets;
• Develop of ad-hoc financial internal reports as necessary;
• Assist in improvement/development of accounting system and processes;

Background and experience requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Economics (ACCA or equivalent knowledge would be beneficial);
• 1-3 years of accounting experience (within Oil &Gas preferred);
• Hands-on advanced Excel experience (experience in working with large datasets, derive insights and present information through visualization and reports);
• Working experience with ERP systems ( Oracle based is an advantage);
• Analytical and decision making skills;
• Excellent Azerbaijani and English language skills, both written and verbal, working knowledge of Russian;
• Ability to meet deadlines;
• Detail oriented; able to work in a fast paced industry and changing environment;
