Vacancy: Chinese Translator
Work Location: Sumgait Chemical Industrial Park
Role and Main responsibilities:
- Translate a variety of material, particularly formal legal, technological and engineering documentation to and from, Chinese and Russian languages with attention to facts and nuances, so that the intent and tone of the original meaning is preserved;
- Edit, standardize, proofread, revise and finalize translated material prepared by other employees and contractors.
- Organize translated material and finalize translation according to set standards regarding order, clarity, conciseness, style, and terminology.
- Provide verbal interpretation services at the meetings;
Required skills and work experience:
- HSK (Chinese proficiency test) Certificate Levels 4, 5 or 6
- Exceptional Chinese and Russian writing/translating/proofreading skills
- Relevant experience in technical translation, especially in engineering settings;
- Due cognizance and consideration of details
- Ability to work under pressure/ within strict deadlines
- Time management skills and ability to prioritize.
