Job Title : Rotating Equipment Operations Manager
Purpose of Job :
- Lead and manage the workshop team by providing direction and overseeing the safe and efficient maintenance and repair activities
- Organize and provide safe, efficient and well maintained workshop
- Drive continual improvement and the achievement of agreed performance measures (KPI targets)
Responsibilities
Develop and achieve performance measures (KPI targets) for equipment maintenance and workshop operations
Manage workshop operations in line with Rapid Solutions policies and procedures
Manage the customer contract in a manner that maximises revenue, growth potential and long-term ‘lock-in’ with customers
Ensure customer enquiries are responded in an appropriate and timely manner
Prepare proposals or quotations
Prepare and implement technical procedures and work instructions
Plan and organise workshop maintenance/repair work and activities
Monitor time keeping and approve timesheets of staff
Verify and confirm maintenance/repair work is performed in accordance to applicable standards and/or procedures
Verify and confirm maintenance/repair work is documented correctly and complies with relevant specifications and standards
Arrange for the necessary equipment, materials and consumables for efficient workshop operations
Establish effective workshop asset management and inventory control
Provide recommendations for critical spares and optimise inventory
Provide an appropriate competence assurance system to demonstrate individual and team competence
Identify and request training to ensure individual and team competence is improved
Provide technical management support and discipline support to the customer’s maintenance planning process
Actively support site execution teams with equipment diagnosis, failure root cause analysis and the resolution of operational problems
Provide specialist advise and engineering support to customer representatives for equipment modifications
Review existing pumps population across customer assets and make recommendations for performance improvement
Coordinate all in country and if required out of country repair or support requirements
Maintain efficient working relationships with third-party support contractors and vendors
Job Requirements:
Mechanical engineering degree (or equivalent apprenticeship)
6 years’ experience in supervising projects or workshops and 3 years’ management experience both
in Oil & gas sector
Excellent people management and coaching skills
Familiar with API (610-619 Pumps / Compressors / Turbines) ISO, and ASME Codes
Familiar with technical integrity principles and operating acceptance criteria for rotating equipment
Experience in rotating equipment maintenance and repair
Basic commercial and estimating knowledge
Experience in performance testing, condition monitoring, diagnosis and troubleshooting of rotating equipment
Written and verbal communication skills (English and Azerbaijani)
Computer skills in Word, Excel and AutoCAD
