Job Title: Payroll Accountant
Purpose of Job :
Payroll Accountant provides operational and administrative support to the payroll operations. The position prepares and maintains reports, assists and advises employees with wages and benefits, interprets pay and leave provisions affecting a wide variety of employees. Payroll Accountant will be responsible for the accurate posting, maintenance and reconciliation of all payroll related activities
Responsibilities:
• Performing daily payroll operations
• Processing employee data (new hires, changes, bonuses, departures) from the HR system of record to the payroll file
• Calculating of employee’s vacation, unpaid leaves sick leaves and overtimes, business trips and other employment related payroll issues
• Preparing bank payment orders
• Developing and communicating pay slips to employees
• Ensuring that payroll data is properly recorded and filed
• Key point of contact for employee payroll related questions; provides necessary information in precise and timely manner
• Opening bank cards for employees and communication with the bank regarding card problems
• Working with SSPF reports
• Performing other duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor
Job Requirements:
• University degree preferably in Finance/Accounting
• 2 years of Payroll Accounting experience preferably in Oil & Gas sector
• Good command of the English language, written and verbal – ability to communicate information clearly, concisely, accurately
• Computer Literate – particularly Excel and Word.
• Customer focus
• Detail oriented; able to work in a fast paced industry
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
