Maintenance Supervisor

Job brief

We are looking for a reliable Maintenance Supervisor to oversee all installation, repair and upkeep operations of the company’s facilities so our Guests can enjoy every moment they spend with us. You will be the one to ensure that your colleagues have the best physical resources available to complete their duties according to budget.

A great maintenance manager will have a solid understanding of plumbing and electrical systems, HVAC, firefighting, kitchen mechanics, concrete, welding, painting as well as carpentry and not to mention every kind of motor that could possibly be found in a restaurant. They will be well-versed in all maintenance process and health and safety regulations. The ideal candidate will also have aptitude in undertaking administrative tasks such as reporting, budgeting etc.

The goal is to ensure the company facilities are well-cared for and adequate to support the company’s business operations.

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Develop maintenance procedures and ensure implementation;
• Carry out inspections of the facilities to identify and resolve issues;
• Check electrical and hydraulic systems of buildings to ensure functionality;
• Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of various restaurant equipment including fryers, freezers, toasters, refrigeration and HVAC equipment. Building management system (BMS), generators, fire alarm system, water treatment system, heating equipment and etc.;
• Plan and oversee all repair and installation activities;
• Allocate workload and supervise technicians staff;
• Monitor equipment inventory and place orders when necessary;
• Monitor expenses and control the budget for maintenance;
• Manage relationships with contractors and service providers. Serve as a liaison between restaurants, landlords, contractors and vendors when needed to repair facilities;
• Keep maintenance logs and report on daily activities;
• Prepare or oversee the preparation of reports and statistics related to areas of responsibility;
• Ensure health and safety policies are complied with;
• Be a problem-solver when a solution isn’t readily available;
• Serves as a general contractor for all new construction or renovation at the location.

Required skills, knowledge and experience

• Minimum 5 years of maintenance management experience in high volume and/or multi-unit operations or other related management experience;
• Proven experience as maintenance manager or other technical managerial role;
• Experience in planning maintenance operations;
• Solid understanding of technical aspects of plumbing, carpentry, electrical systems, HVAC and building infrastructures, firefighting, kitchen mechanics, concrete, welding, painting etc.;
• Working knowledge of facilities machines and equipment;
• Ability to keep tracking of and report on activity;
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
• Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities;
• Higher education, preferably BSc/BA in business administration or facility management;
• Maintenance experience in Food and Beverage or Merchandise operations is advantage;
• Must possess organizational, written and verbal skills and be able to communicate with management on repair schedules, completed work records, equipment condition, parts cost and needed inventory along with a scheduling of possible capital outlays for new equipment;
• Good communication skills, written and verbal in English, also preferably in Russian.
