Job description

• Site support for works related to vessel port calls support and inshore marine base operation, review and clarify work requests and SoW issued by our Consortium partner;
• Facilitate technical issue resolutions when required by interfacing with stakeholders such as our incumbent subcontractors, construction, rigging, material control, lifting and logistic teams from both sides within the Consortium;
• Advise and coordinate revisions and changes to Work Requests, SoWs or Field Instructions – this particular process is nonexistent at present and we find ourselves in reactive mode and late in implementing the changes (firefighting is the result);
• Discuss and cascade to the team any variation or ad’hoc work that will be conveyed by CPY;
• Attend workshop discussions for important scopes in view to help the review of Marine Base related work requests and field Instruction before issuance;
• Gather Marine Base technical and operational inputs inclusive of those from subcontractors to establish technical proposal to requested works;
• Help anticipate and prioritize the MB support work scopes that are requested from the team based on offshore schedule demands and feedback to installation team any constraints or bottleneck that MB is facing;
• Coordinate post fabrication acceptance of installation or temporary aids, their reception from workshop and their transfer to storage and preservation team or to vessel – at present this process is poorly controlled Instigate and lead readiness reviews where necessary for scope that are identified critical to the offshore programme;
• Maintain an adequate technical Interface with QA/QC, Method and Fabrication engineering where necessary to support preparatory work related to load out and sea fastening on barges and vessels  from time to time;
• Project engineer may be called in to participate in TRA and HAZID and so on to provide operational input and keep these forums meaningful and adequate;
• Work closely with project planner in terms of formulating forecasts, focus schedule for marine fabrication and load out operations;
• Support procurement and subcontractor purchase orders process –  tasks include compiling brief Scope of Work or Scope of supply based on Marine Base requirements.

Requirement and skills

• Fully conversant with Microsoft office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project);
• Fluent in English;
• 4-5 years’ experience in offshore or Marine Operations environment;
• A good understanding of Marine operations from onshore to offshore.
• Adequate technical skills to facilitate technical interfaces and resolutions of fabrication and marine operation nature forward looking attitude and good sense of schedule anticipation.
• Leadership skills could be an advantage be able to keep an efficient communication skills at all levels
