Isocontroller/3D System Assistant
This position integrates and supports the piping group engineering work and coordinates the relevant interfaces with the Systems Administrator. The Candidate will be supervised by the 3D Administrator for assisting 3D system, as well as he will perform the duty of iso controller when assigned to the project. The Candidate will work with other Company team members, Engineering and Design Departments.
Principal Accountabilities:
As 3D System Assistant the main duties will assist 3D Administrator in the following tasks within 3D system activities:
• Setting up and management of new and existing engineering projects within 3D environment;
• Managing and creating reporting options through the project lifecycle;
• Troubleshooting Oracle database and software issues;
• Providing user-support to project resources;
• Managing and maintaining backup systems;
• Identifying potential service level problems and facilitating solutions;
• Interfacing with all additional related software.
As Iso Controller the main activities will be:
• Distribute the piping isometrics to all personnel for the drafting, checking, updating, back checking, incorporating Stress/Support, Instrument, Material comments;
• The iso controller is to ensure at each point of checking, all the applicable checking cycle Process has been carried out or not;
• Prepare the weekly isometrics progress report;
• Obtain prints and distribute to A/G Piping Group Leader and Department Head the isometric status drawn, checked and issued for construction;
• Maintain the file copy of all isometrics/Keep the isometric status listing updated;
• Monitor the Iso production to assure that established priorities are adhered to;
• Maintain an updated record of isos to be revised including all "HOLDs";
• For progress activity, extract Iso hold status when required;
• Creating the approval steps of Issued/back-checked Isometrics with the A/G Piping Group Leader and 3D Cad Administrator;
• Create the transmittal for IFC ready Isometrics for Issue to Doc controller;
• Providing user-support to project resources;
• Scheduling and prioritizing work to accommodate user needs with minimum impact;
• Continually seeking opportunities to increase end-user satisfaction.
Skills & Requirements:
• Minimum 2 years of working experience. Relevant engineering and/or construction industry experience is preferred;
• Working knowledge of piping engineering with specific experience in Isometrics review and checking is plus;
• Knowledge of CAD applications (such as SmartSketch, MicroStation 3D, AutoCAD PDMS or PDS), however knowledge of AutoCAD is to be considered mandatory. Other applications may be desired (such as SP3D), but they are not a mandatory requirement;
• Expert (mandatory) in MS Excel/Word/MS access (Working with Macros);
• Knowledgeable of standard drafting practices and procedures;
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills;
• Highly motivated and self-directed with strong communication skills;
• Good knowledge of English is a must.
