Workshop and Marine Team Manager
Responsible To: Director
Experience of fire extinguishers Breathing apparatus, Liferafts, Hydro testing & fire systems essential.
Purpose Of Job:
To work closely with the Department Coordinators to assist in the co-ordination and planning of the maintenance and workshop departments, providing the highest level of training and technical support to the Technicians and maintenance team, to audit the standard of work of onshore technicians to ensure compliance with current standards and to ensure that work is undertaken in accordance with relevant standards and Company Procedures.
Organising the workshop work programme, co-ordinating training, managing vehicle fleet, scheduling workshop and marine service, liaising with major suppliers, assisting in the pricing of work for workshop and maintenance work, ensuring technician compliance with Quality, Health & Safety Standards, maintaining method statements, risk assessments and ensuring that workshop equipment is maintained, calibrated and serviced.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
To maintain safe working practices and communicate them to Direct Reports;
To control workflow within the workshop;
To undertake Fire Fighting and Life Saving product servicing work during overloaded periods;
To assist in management of the stock levels (e.g. materials, fixings and tooling)
To report on back to Director on work progress and any areas of concern.
To maintain various information databases, as required by management
Administrative / Leadership Responsibilities
To supervise Workshop and Maintenance Technicians.
Training and Technical Support to Technicians and Maintenance Team.
General administration of Workshop activities.
Compliance with QA and QC Management Systems
Ensure all technicians complete documentation in accordance with Company procedures
Complete all required information on required documentation in accordance with Company procedures
Competence Assurance System Responsibilities
Ensure assessment induction process and checklist are completed in accordance with procedures
Actively participate in the Competence Assurance System to confirm personal competence within job role in accordance with procedures
Participate in the performance appraisal process in accordance with Company procedures and within agreed timescale
Complete and update training/competency matrix highlighting any gaps to operational management
Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality
Keeping all HSE/QA Records up to date and accurate
Carry out work activities in accordance with all HSEQ requirements and procedures
Conduct yourself in a safe manner and in a manner to protect the safety of others
Carry out personal risk assessments and any other health and safety requirements to ensure personal safety
Experience
Technical Experience in Fire Fighting and Lifesaving Product and Servicing.
Previous experience in an Offshore Maintenance Environment would also be desirable.
Skills / Training
Ability to supervise a team of technicians and control workflow / procedures / compliance, a good degree of IT literacy, the ability to manually handle company products.
Salary Range: 1650 to 2400 AZN Gross (depends on experience)
