Vacancy: Laboratory Engineer
Work Location: Sumgait Chemical Industrial Park
Role and Main responsibilities:
• Perform basic design and installation of laboratory equipment and processes.
• Review and provide input to engineering plans and specifications for laboratory equipment or processes.
• Perform basic troubleshooting associated with laboratory equipment or processes;
• Prepare drawings, schematic diagrams and related documentation associated with laboratory equipment or processes;
• Developing prototypes and innovative solutions to problems;
• Investigating corrosion and glass failure;
• Ensuring adherence to manufacturing quality standards;
• Using specialist computer applications;
• Carrying out laboratory-based analysis of samples;
• Developing new test and repair processes;
• Investigating production problems;
Required skills and work experience:
• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related science;
• Team player and detail oriented;
• Creativity, verbal and written communication skills, analytical and problem solving ability;
• Basic knowledge of the chemical composition, structure and properties of substances, and of the chemical processes and transformations that they undergo;
• Excellent time management skills;
• Basic knowledge of the chemical control of raw materials and products at work
• Basic knowledge of glass production and properties;
• Knowledge and ability to work with regulatory documentation on sheet glass and raw materials (GOST, TU, ISO);
• Knowledge of Russian or English languages;
