Position: Contracts Specialist

Responsibilities

1. Drafting consultancy and construction contracts based on RFP/Tender documents.
2. Coordinate with internal departments such as but not limited to Procurement, Commercial, Construction to ensure that timely and accurate contract preparation.
3. Negotiate contract terms with Consultants and Contractors and prepare final contract documents for Contract Manager’s approval.
4. Bring to the Contract Manager’s attention the issues related to finalize contracts and obtain necessary directions.
5. Evaluate variations, negotiate and issue final variation order in accordance with terms and conditions of contract.
6. Monitor the work of the awarded contracts liaising with the respective department, to ensure compliance with the contract.

Requirements

1. B.Sc. Degree in Civil Engineering/Quantity Surveying/Construction Law.
2. Minimum 3 years of post-graduate experience.
3. Membership/Enrollment for membership of professional institutions such as RICS, CIArb, AIQS would be an added advantage.
4. Fluent in English/Azeri and good communication in English/Azeri.
5. Good knowledge with FIDIC suits (Red, Yellow, White Books etc) of conditions of contract specially 1999 edition.
6. Experience in dealing with contractor and consultants in drafting contracts/ variations.
7. Experience in large scale mixed use projects.
