Junior Cathodic Protection Technician

You must have the ability to gain through internal training and field experience a working understanding of how to execute the following;

• Monitoring & maintenance of Impressed Current Cathodic Protection (ICCP) and Sacrificial Anode Cathodic Protection (SACP) systems in accordance with the relevant BP codes, practices and procedures, CTS Europe Ltd Method Statements and where applicable industry best practice as defined in international standards (e.g. BS-EN, NACE, DNV, ISO, ASTM etc), including the gathering and recording of monitoring and maintenance of data.
• Soil resistivity surveys
• Interaction testing
• Induced ac monitoring
• Close Interval Potential (CIP) & Direct Current Voltage Gradient (DCVG) surveys

Junior CP Technician must also be able to do the following;

• Work away from their place of residence as required on a regular basis (all associated cost will be paid by the company)
• Communicate clearly in English
• Follow instructions precisely
• Hold an Azerbaijani valid drivers permit
• A degree or training in electrical or chemical engineering would be an advantage.

In addition, to the above there are several duties which must be carried out as follows;

• Drive vehicles to perform the required duties.
• Assist other company staff with reasonable requests.
• Undertake tasks as described by senior technical staff and office personnel whom are involved with data management and the efficient running of the CTSE Office.
• Clean the company vehicles and ensure they are kept in a clean tidy condition and assist with organising maintenance and servicing as required.
