Lead Pipeline Design Engineer

Job Summary:

Lead Pipeline Engineer will be responsible to design, plan, execute and monitor pipelining project and serve as a link between pipeline workers and operational areas to make sure that pipeline projects are performed correctly.

Job Function:

• Excellent knowledge of design and drafting techniques, engineering drawing, CAD/graphics, computer model work, and reading of drawings;
• Develops designs for complete and complex pipeline systems, structures, and plant arrangements with minimum supervision;
• Collects, reads, interprets, and uses related reference documents and drawings prepared by other disciplines;
• Ensures compliance with approved design standards to provide quality design, safety, constructability, reliable operation, construction economy, and operating convenience;
• Reviews and checks calculations, design models, drawings and design documents for quality, accuracy, neatness, functionality, and satisfactory completion;
• Assists others with assembling bid, approval, and construction issue drawing packages;
• Coordinates work with other designers and drafting technicians assigned to the same projects;
• Prepare the design for the pipeline design and interface with the relative process and structures and installation.
• Assist with the selection of laying spread/methods and perform/review installation design analysis for the pipeline system.
• Support the project engineering manager for solving technical problems arising during project development and for interfacing/supporting the procurement department
• Perform/verify all discipline analyses and calculation notes required to design the pipelines system, including the engineering activities of third parties/sub-contractors;

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
• +15 years in the gas and oil pipeline sector with project engineering and design experience or operating company experience
• Experience in engineering/specification of pipeline systems
• Knowledge of gas and hazardous liquids codes and regulations
• Up to date knowledge and experience with the oil and gas industry in design and analysis of pipelines
• Ability and willingness to meet agreed deadlines
• Good knowledge of international pipeline design codes/ standards and specifications

Job type: full-time

Working hours: Monday-Friday, 08:30 am – 17:30pm, 5 working days a week.
