AIMC (Azerbaijan International Mining Company) - engages in the exploration and production of gold, copper, and silver properties in Azerbaijan.

We need a Senior Financial Reporting Specialist to join our finance department and take over the significant part of reporting and reconciliation duties for our growing company.

The Senior Financial Specialist will be working with and reporting directly to the Financial Controller.

We need a professional with inherent leadership qualities and the attention to detail necessary to ensure accurate reporting in all areas.

The successful applicant will have a basic knowledge of how natural resource companies are run and will have prior experience with tax issues.
 
Job title: Senior Financial Reporting Specialist

Work location: Baku office (may require to travel to Gadabay Site)

Candidate Requirements:

• 3 Degree in Accounting or Economics required
• 3+ years’ experience in general or tax accounting including IFRS
• Minimum part ACCA qualified
• Experience with computerized ledger systems
• Advanced knowledge of Excel
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills
• Ability to function well in a team-oriented environment

Essential responsibilities are to be:

• Preparation of monthly, semiannual and annual reporting numbers of the Group in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
• Reporting of annual standalone financial data of the Parent company in accordance with the UK GAAP
• Conduct monthly accounts reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance
• Monthly cost reports for management using financial and operational data;
• Involvement in a budget process for the Company, getting department level budgets from head of department, compiling them together, analyzing and challenging when compared to historical data and expected production level
• Variance analysis of monthly budget vs. actual reported results in cooperation with operational team. Provide written explanation of deviations
• Other duties as assigned
