Lead Process Engineer
Job Summary:
Lead Process Engineer Lead will be responsible for developing a portfolio of projects. This includes developing the Project Design, sizing process equipment, performing calculations and developing equipment datasheets and P&IDS in close cooperation with internal clients and discipline specialists.
Job Function:
• Develop concept and feasibility studies for new and modification of existing facilities;
• Execute technical work for detailed design within designated Cost Time & Resource scopes;
• Provide operation optimization for the ongoing oil and gas processes;
• Interface with other departments and disciplines to ensure Process designs meet with their needs and requirements;
• Carrying out technical supervision during the execution of the design;
• Support operations by providing technical supports, root causes analysis (RCA) and going to site to obtain the necessary information and work with operation closely;
• Review and approve equipment selection and specification for design;
• Lead and participate in Design review, HAZOP as required;
• Provide design guidance to Engineering team to perform the engineering works according to the requirements, Specification and International standards;
• Arrangement of project specifications for engineering works developments;
• Forecast project completion dates for sharing with Drafting & Design lead, customers and Designs Engineering Team Leaders;
• Provides quality assurance checking for all mechanical design packages. Ensures completed design packages meet piping specifications, design codes/standards, Safety in Designs (SIDs) and are easily operated and maintained;
• Ensures adherence to Process Safety Information (PSI) requirements, procedures and standards;
• Identifies plans and executes training required for continuous improvement in team capability and product quality;
• Maintaining and Updating Infrastructure Drawings and Project close-out Procedures;
• Review of critical project design documents and drawings such as design basis PFD and P&ID, produced by the contractor and the vendors;
• Work efficiently on process simulation tools such as HYSYS, PRO II, Flare System and other relevant Process design and safety tools;
Qualifications:
• Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering;
• Minimum of 10 years of process design experience in Oil & Gas Industry is mandatory;
• Excellent spoken and written English language skills; able to communicate clearly and precisely with team members;
• Strong knowledge of HYSYS, PRO II, Flare System;
• Good knowledge of AutoCAD;
• Experience collecting as-built information and piping design within operating facilities from concept to completion culminating in all project deliverables;
• Experience leading complex multi discipline design projects;
Job type: full-time
• Working hours: Monday-Friday, 08:30 am – 17:30pm, 5 working days a week.
