Lead Telecom Engineer 
 
Purpose:

We are looking for a Lead Telecom Engineer to coordinate and implement telecommunication engineering activities, carry out engineering design of telecom systems in Oil and Gas Projects and support new projects by providing guidance on Telecommunication Engineering.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible to prepare Telecommunication Engineering deliverables such as Design, Specifications for a wide range of communications systems and equipment (Greenfield and Brown field) facilities such as PA/GA systems, CCTV systems, Power supplies etc.;
• Responsible for preparing radio coverage calculation, Fresnel zone calculations, estimating antennae height, etc.;
• Responsible for performing fiber optic link budget calculation, data and telephony traffic analysis, capacity / bandwidth calculations, public address sound pressure level calculation;
• Estimation Telecom equipment power consumption and heat load calculations and design of Telecom power supply systems;
• Responsible for preparing Telecommunication device and cabinet location layouts, cable block diagrams and MDF / IDF schematics;
• Leads the team which monitors systems performance and takes necessary action to maintain high reliability and availability or critical systems;
• Ensures required literature such as System Manuals, Engineering Studies etc. are produced, logged and available;
• Leads, participates and support Engineering team in the preparation of detailed engineering activities of new Projects;

Qualifications:

• 10 years+ directly related experience in the Oil & Gas Industry is mandatory;
• Degree in Electronic/ Telecom Engineering;
• Strong knowledge of PA/GA systems, CCTV systems;
• Good knowledge of AutoCAD;
• Excellent spoken and written English language skills; able to communicate clearly and precisely with team members;
• Strong understanding of common international codes and standards;
• Strong understanding of design deliverables required for Detailed Design;

Job type: full-time

• Working hours: Monday-Friday, 08:30 am – 17:30pm, 5 working days a week.
