IT Support Engineer
The main responsibilities are:
• Service (software/hardware) design and acceptance
• Continuous improvement (upgrades, patching, automation)
• Creation of instructions for operational teams
Key Responsibilities:
• Preparation, deployment, functional tests and transition of new software
• Creation of procedures for uninterrupted operation in first line support
• Second line assistance in software support
o Continuous procedure enrichment
o Automation (programming/reporting)
o Analysis
o Dimensioning
o Control of software roadmap
o Updates/Upgrades
• Analysis and handling of requests sent by group and divisions
• Transition of routine tasks to first line support
• Negotiation of problems with supporting vendors
Required Background, Skills and Knowledge:
• Higher technical education (computer engineering, applied mathematics, and similar fields)
• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in this sphere
• Administration of Unix/Linux systems, shell-scripting
• Experience with ANSI SQL or Oracle SQL/PL SQL
• Experience with any programing language (java or python is preferred)
• Experience in Telecommunications are preferred
• Strong analytical thinking
• Language skills
o Azerbaijani - fluent (common understanding)
o Russian - upper-intermediate
o English - upper-intermediate
