Legal Counsel
Responsibilities
• Ensure legal support to Company activities;
• Review contract terms and conditions and make sure that they comply with state laws and company policies;
• Develop company policy and position on legal issues
• Explain current legislation and its application terms to the structural divisions of Company;
• Take measures to change or cancel the Company’s legal acts, which violate the current legislation;
• Arrange preparation of legal conclusions regarding proposals to take disciplinary and material actions against Company employees;
• Represent Company in courts, official bodies, local state and public authorities, other organizations and institutions on issues of the legal department’s area of responsibility;
• Negotiating on behalf of Company with counterparts;
• Research, anticipate and guard company against legal risks keeping up to date with changing legislation;
• Coordinate/delegate with 3rd party law firm;
• Responsible for preparing and archiving of all outside correspondences;
• Responsible for preparing HQ legal reporting;
• Diligently, qualitatively and timely fulfill the functional duties in compliance with the labor and/or collective agreements, present job description and enactments of the employer;
Requirements:
• University degree in Law ( Preferred: Masters’ Degree) ;
• This position requires 5+ years of overall experience working in Legal area;
• Must be fluent in spoken and written, Azerbaijani, Russian and English language;
• Excellent knowledge of civil law, international and local law;
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills;
• Ability to work within a diversified business culture;
Salary: 2500 AZN Net
