KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• To carry out the instructions given by senior person’s;
• To assemble and maintain mechanical systems and equipment under supervision / direction from senior persons;
• To assemble rigging equipment under supervision / direction from senior persons;
• To assist fabrication and modification of equipment under supervision / direction from senior persons;
• Provide assistance with checks on Rigmarine vehicles and operational equipment;
• To ensure that all tasks are carried out as instructed and in a safe manner;
• To keep the area tidy, and ensure equipment has been stored correctly;
• To inform your supervisors of possible dangers & hazard in the work area and if seen elsewhere at Rigmarine base;
• The Fitter has a direct responsibility to comply with the company policy on PPE as well as fulfilling his obligations under statutory health and safety law;
• He may be required to carry out other duties in other areas including off Rigmarine base as specified by management provided that he has suitable training and/or the necessary experience;
• To read and to carry out the task in accordance with the “Area Specific Health & Safety Rules”;
• To take part if required in training which might be outside of working times, if Rigmarine is paying for the training there could be no payment for this time.
WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
• Minimum 20 years of age;
• Related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience is essential;
• An awareness of lifting equipment and our industry is an advantage;
• Fabrication and welding skills is an advantage;
• This job is has specific hazards and requires the worker to have the necessary training and ability to strictly adhere to safety procedures.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
• High school diploma and relevant training;
• Azeri, Good English & Russian languages.
Salary: 800 AZN Net
