Job Title: Supply Chain Team Leader
Purpose of Job
Oversee, manage and continually improve supply chain and procurement activities within the organization.
Accountabilities
Provide effective and timely levels of procurement and supply chain service and support to Operations.
Continually develop the supply chain to improve company purchasing capability and competitiveness in the market.
Build effective relationships with new and existing suppliers, maintain regular communication
Proactively improve supply chain procedures and processes
Ensure supply chain activities are in compliance with business ethics procedures and policies at all times.
Process requests for supplier quotations (RFQs) in accordance with established procedures
Manage the procurement cycle, review and analyse purchase requisition, collect relevant approvals, ensure correct classification in accordance with the company procedures (reimbursable, non-reimbursable, lump sum, capital expenditures), prepare and submit purchase orders to supplier
Negotiate changes and other terms and conditions with suppliers to obtain the best return at the most cost effective prices possible, while retaining quality specifications
Monitor supplier performance to ensure compliance with all contractual terms and conditions. Take necessary steps to resolve any supplier performance issues.
Prepare and submit regular PO status reports for outstanding orders or projects to provide visibility to operations about the status of orders
Participate in external and internal audits as the supply chain team lead.
Lead supply chain audits of external suppliers and vendors.
Supervision, coaching and mentoring of supply chain team.
Essential skills & requirements
University Degree in a relevant field, legal, economics, finance, business administration, accounting.
Minimum 5 years of experience in Procurement & Supply Chain or subcontracts.
Minimum 2 years of experience in Team Leader or Supervisory Position.
Must be familiar with International and Local procurement processes and regulations.
Extensive experience organizing, executing and expediting high volume of procurement activity.
Working knowledge of legal aspects and implications of contracts, terms and conditions, warranties, incoterms, minimizing risk to the business
Effective Negotiating skills
Excellent Organizational & Administration Skills
