Senior Static Equipment (Vessel) Engineer

Job description:

• Assuring the implementation, within his competency area , of the applicable laws and standards requirements.
• Act as project specialty leader for assigned projects
• Perform and/ or supervise mechanical design, requisitioning, technical bids evaluation and post order follow up of Pressure Vessels.
• Perform and/ or supervise mechanical design, flexibility analysis, requisitioning and technical bid evaluation, post order follow up of Special Lines.
• Perform and/ or supervise requisitioning, technical bids evaluation, post order follow up of API tanks, vessel internals, column trays and internals.
• Prepare and/or supervise job specifications applicable to a project.
• Review of welding procedure specifications, procedure and qualification records, PWHT and forming procedures issued by Suppliers and Subcontractors.
• Supervise the design group for preparation and issue of engineering drawings for Pressure Vessels, Storage Tanks, Special Lines, other Special Equipment, platforms and ladders for vessels and tanks.
• Supervise the design group for checking, control and follow up of vendor drawings as post order activities.
• Compile, update and issue a Vendor’s Document Index.
• Distribute Vendor documentation within the team members and co-ordinate their comments.
• Prepare consolidated comments and return these to the Vendor.
• Correspond with the Vendor on technical matters and ensure that action is taken where necessary.
• Monitoring application of design procedures the system, including Work Procedures, Work Instructions, Discipline Guidelines, etc.
• Develop capabilities and skills of the engineers and designers within Static Equipment Group
• Implementing the instructions regarding Health, Safety and Environmental aspects indicated by the appointed functions.

Skills & Requirements:

• 10-15 years of relevant experience in reputable E&C Companies, serving to O&G industry, preferably in Refining and/or Petrochemicals business.
• Good knowledge and experience in engineering areas of facilities design (FEED, Detailed Engineering)
• Competent with relevant international/local codes and standards such as GOST, ASME/ ASTM, WRC, API, TEMA.
• Extensive knowledge of design and fabrication to ASME VIII.
• Competent with commercial software commonly used for pressure vessels, storage tanks such as COMPRESS, TANK, Nozzle-Pro, Solidworks.
• Additional experience of performing thermal design using HTRI and/or HTFS software is plus.
• Demonstrate leadership and capacity to operate under tight schedules and project criticalities.
• Proven experience in supervision and coordination roles of engineering teams for medium/large size projects
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multinational team environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, in English.
• Proven experience in the areas of engineering, procurement and construction.
• Graduated in mechanical engineering.
