Economic Participation of IDP and vulnerable population of selected host communities in the South Caucasus

Junior Administrative Professional (full time, 100%)

Location of the project office – Baku, Azerbaijan

Duration mid December 2017 - 30 April 2020

The "Economic Participation of IDP and vulnerable population of selected host communities in the South Caucasus" project operates on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) with the aim of improving the conditions for pro-poor & inclusive growth by fostering income generation through employment and entrepreneurship among the target group by applying approaches of private sector development at all stages accompanied by and access to finance and short-term vocational qualification.

Activities with a strong pilot character will be implemented within 3 intervention fields

1) Strengthening capacities of public sector actors for promotion of economic participation of the target group,
2) Consultancy and qualification for – especially young women and men of – the target group to increase their use of offers such as market relevant career orientation, start-up consultancy, short-term vocational qualification and internships, including also psycho-social measures,
3) Promotion of the local private sector through business development and employment of IDP in value chains.

Your tasks:

• organising administrative and logistical aspects of project activities (secretariat, meetings, workshops, business trips etc.)
• ensuring that office equipment and IT hard- and software are in place and function properly
• monitoring the availability of accessories and stocks and carries out procurement in accordance with guidelines
• filing documents in line with company’s rules
• supporting the preparation of programme budget planning
• supporting procurement, contracting and monitoring of expenses
• financial management, such as cash withdrawals, keeping the cashbook, bank accounts, preparing and entering vouchers
• auditing project accounting

Requirements:

• University degree in relevant specialisation and qualification in business administration desirable (equivalent of BA or MBA)
• at least 3 years’ professional experience in a comparable position, preferably with an international organisation
• Excellent management and organisational experience and skills
• Affection for working with figures and intuitive understanding of figures;
• Strong and keen customer and service-oriented attitude; trustworthy, reliable, responsible person
• Willingness to upskill as required by the tasks to be performed. Corresponding measures are agreed with management
• very good working knowledge of ITC technologies (related software, phone, fax, email, the internet) and computer applications (e.g. MS Office)
• very good knowledge of Azeri and English languages, written and oral; German language skills in addition are of great value
