Job title: Senior HSEQ Advisor
Work location: Office / Onshore sites and facilities
Experience:
Minimum 5 years experience in HSEQ. Senior HSEQ Advisor shall have comprehensive experience in health, safety, environment and quality in oil & gas, construction and service works.
Minimum 3 years experience in the similar role.
Education:
University degree in a relevant subject
Training Requirements:
• NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent
• Lead Auditor Qualifications (ISO 9001, OHSAS 18001, ISO 14001)
• Presentations skills (in Azerbaijani and English)
• Administrative skills: e.g. to develop HSEQ Reports
• Computer Literacy – Word, Excel, Power-point and Database knowledge in terms of inputting and search capability
• COSHH awareness
• Health/Safety and Environmental Risk Assessment – comprehensive knowledge and application
• Incident Investigation skills
• Emergency preparedness and response - management
Duties:
Main purpose of the role is to support HSEQ Manager and Azerbaijan Business Unit in promotion of HSEQ programmes and initiatives, Company culture and HSEQ assurance. Main roles and responsibilities shall include implementation of HSE and QA Management System in compliance with the requirements of International Standards, Local Legislation and Group requirements as well.
• Keep HSEQ Management System up and running
• Ensure compliance with legal and other requirements through continual proactive and reactive monitoring programmes.
• Prepare to external audits, e.g. international auditors, Local Authorities, Client.
• Reporting on the progress of implementation of HSEQ programmes and initiatives to HSEQ Manager.
• Prepare, review, and participate in task based risk assessments and COSHH assessments.
• Carry out in-house training programmes as per the training needs identified and specified in training matrix.
• Conduct Management HSEQ Meetings, e.g. monthly, Management Review meetings.
• Carry out site inspections and audits.
• Lead/ participate incident investigations.
• Develop and communicate HSEQ guidance, memos, lessons learned templates and presentations.
• Maintain HSEQ statistics for the Business Unit.
• Timely reporting – weekly, monthly stats.
• Develop and deliver HSEQ guidance, awareness sessions and training
• Observe activities at work locations and give coaching where necessary to ensure that the workforce is fully conversant with safe procedures in the work environment
• Engage the workforce in safety conversation to raise the level of their hazard and risk awareness, and safe practices
• Co-operate with Clients and other bodies during HSEQ Audits
• Carry out regular site inspections to check policies and procedures are being properly implemented and followed
• Maintain accurate document control and record keeping.
• Attend and provide support site safety meetings
• Translate documents where and when necessary and assist in maintaining the legal registers
• Contribute to the “New Start”, “Visitor” and “Contractor” induction process though delivery of HSEQ elements
