Position: Senior POS Support Specialist
 
Summary and Purpose of Role:

The POS Support Specialist is responsible for effective POS software support and general POS hardware/software support, including programming POS software, basic help desk activity and remote supports. This person must possess excellent technical and communication skills.
Analytical thinking is very important, as this position will involve functional programming, problem resolution and process development.

Job Role Responsibilities:

 Advanced administration of POS software including the development and testing of items/packages
 Experience maintaining and enhancing a Point of Sale system
 Familiarity with POS data and functions: items, barcode, sales, voids, promotions, specials, discounts, methods of payment, electronic journaling, taxes, etc.
 Familiarity with POS hardware: card printers, credit card scanners, receipt printers, and ticket printers
 Available to work nights and/or weekends if required
 Advanced end-user support via telephone, e-mail, and/or face-to-face interaction

Position Qualification:

 Minimum 2 years of experience in tech support
 A background related to programming or database development is preferred.
 Working knowledge of POS software.
 General networking/connectivity knowledge.
 Ability to maintain a pleasant disposition and function efficiently in high stress/pressure work environment.
 Maintain a high level of work quality and quantity per company standards.
 Practice teamwork and effective communication with supervisor and co-workers.
