Site Engineer
We need candidates for fit-out activities.
Duration: (4 – 5 months)
DETAILED DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
General duties
o Manage construction projects;
o Oversee building work;
o Set out sites and organize facilities;
o Act as the main technical adviser on a construction site for subcontractors and operatives; check plans, drawings and quantities for accuracy of calculations;
o Ensure that all materials used and work performed are as per specifications;
o Liaise with any subcontractors, supervisors and the general workforce involved in the project;
o Liaise with clients and their representatives (architects, engineers and surveyors), including attending regular meetings to keep them informed of progress;
o Manage the site daily, including supervising and monitoring the site labor force and the work of any subcontractors;
o Plan the work and efficiently organize the plant and site facilities in order to meet agreed deadlines;
o Oversee quality control and health and safety matters on site;
o Prepare reports as required;
o Resolve any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise.
Other duties
o Perform other duties as assigned;
o Preserve confidentiality of the company’s business activities and customer information;
o Co-operate with the management of the company in order to achieve legal compliance and meet our own Health and Safety standards;
o Not take risks which could affect own or other persons’ Health and Safety.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Level of Education: Degree in Construction, Building, Civil engineering
Experience: 3 years experience in Construction/Engineering
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
Technical skills
Language skills, preferably Azeri, English and Russian;
PC Literacy including the ability to work with Microsoft Office, with advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
