Position: “Tailor” at Bilgah Beach Hotel Baku,

General purpose:

To support the housekeeping function in the tailoring requirements of the department. To support the housekeeping function in recording tailoring requirements needed from other departments within the resort.

Main Duties

• Maintains high standard of personal appearance and hygiene at all times, report for duty punctually wearing correct uniform and provide a courteous and professional service to internal and external customers to ensure Standards are complied with.
• Ensures complete understanding of and adheres to the policy relating to the fire, hygiene, health and safety to ensure accurate procedures are followed through in case of emergency.
• Inspect all machines and report any repair requirements to the team leader to ensure all sewing machines and other repair requirements are in good condition.
• Ensure that we have adequate tailoring and sewing supplies to ensure that the daily condition of uniform is always ready to wear i.e. buttons stitched, hems in order, zippers working.
• Repairs hems of bed sheets, pillowcases tablecloths, napkins, table sets whenever required, prepares dusters and cleaning cloths for operational department with the discarded linen according to the system established to support cost control initiative of the department.
• Perform any other duties that management may reasonably require. 

Requirements:

• Certification in training relevant to tailoring
• At least 1 year tailoring experience
• Team oriented
• Able to multi-task and work under pressure
• Must be able to perform assigned duties with attention to detail, speed and accuracy
