About Aztelekom LLC:
"Aztelekom" LLC has been operating since August of 1992. LLC under the 57 local telecommunications enterprise (Ganja Telecommunications Department, Sumgait, Mingechevir, Shirvan and Naftalan city, as well as 49 regional telecommunication node), the International Automatic Telephone Station (BATS), Cable Motorways Technical hub together. As operator of the Republic of Azerbaijan, "Aztelekom" LLC individual customers, corporate customers, mobile operators and other users of different services for communications and Info communication technologies.
Summary:
The Subscriber Edge Network Architect leads the effort in the creation of standards related to the broadband subscriber edge, both on a regional as well as national level. The successful candidate will utilize extensive knowledge and experience with IP standard bodies and associated technical specifications to promote the next generation subscriber access networks, coordinate and lead inter-departmental development of network designs and policies, and develop procedures and schedule lab facilities for testing hardware elements and software feature releases that will be introduced into the network.
Responsibilities:
• Drive the vision of next-generation subscriber edge to support new services and products
• Conceptualize, test, and document network enhancements to support new products and services, increased network scalability, and network automation activities
• Work with other teams to drive improvements in the network
• Evaluation of hardware, software, network protocols, and new topologies in a network lab
• Support network trials in production after lab evaluation process
• Write technical documentation
• Perform fault isolation and hands-on trouble resolution on network equipment as needed
• Monitor network
Requirements:
• Experience with BNG/BRAS in a service provider network
• Thorough understanding of IPv4, IPv6, MPLS, OSPF, ISIS, BGP, STP, L2/L3 VPN protocols
• Thorough understanding of PPPoA, PPPoE, and IPoE
• Thorough understanding of RADIUS and it’s relationship with BNG functionality
• Solid understanding of IP DSLAMs, OLT/ONT, ACS
• Experience with one of the vendors: Juniper, Cisco, Huawei, ZTE BNGs
• Demonstrated ability to analyze complex situations and troubleshoot under pressure
• Knowledge of a programming language is desired (Perl, Python, C, etc)
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; both verbal and written
