General purpose:

Laundry Attendant's contribute to the hotel's commitment to high quality guest service and teamwork and must be the kind of person who appreciates high standards of excellence.

Main Duties

• Ensures that all activities adhere to and support the Hotel Quality Management System.
• To protect and identify all types of garments from damage, shrinkage and colour loss.
• To load and unload the washing machines, dryers and dry cleaning machine with the given capacity of the machines. Record the loads produced on daily basis.
• To ensure that proper chemicals and formula is applied during the process.
• Responsible to check and control that all garments are handled as per the manufacturers care label and check and verify that all laundered and dry cleaned items are spotless and to the hotel standards.
• Responsible to issuing, storing and control misuse of chemicals and its safety.
• Ensure proper operation of all machinery employed and report defects.
• Responsible to do washing, drying, pressing, folding, stacking, dry cleaning, finishing, pick-up and delivery, sorting, marking, packing and billing.
• To assist HK and F&B in monthly, quarterly, annual linen inventories.
• To ensure that any guest item or uniforms requiring minor repairs or change of buttons is given to the hotel tailor to fix it.
• To keep daily records of pick-up and delivery in respective cards and inform service one time to time. Record room numbers in the delivery book where all hanger items are also to be recorded.
• Keeps daily accurate records of discarded linen.
• Controls daily amount of collected and received linen from the Central laundry.
• Carries out any duties that the Assistant Manager or Manager may assign
• Perform duties in uniform room when necessary

Requirements:

• Prior laundry experience required
• Customer service experience is required, preferably in a hotel or related field
• Must have schedule flexibility for both AM/PM shifts, weekends and holidays
• Ability to learn quickly and work in fast paced position
• Must be able to multi-task 
• Ability to lift, pull, and push moderate to heavy amount of weight (minimum of 20 kg) 
• Ability to stand for long periods of time and move moderate distances
