Construction Manager
Job description
- Oversee and direct construction projects from conception to completion and its subcontractors from notice to proceed, commissioning to full commercial operations
- Review of architectural and engineering drawings to make sure that all specifications and regulations are being followed.
- Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques
- Ensure all systems are in place for successful execution of dredging scope through planning, monitoring and coordination with contractors.
- Manage the overall safety, field execution and subcontractors’ performance on all area construction activities.
- Manage the timely work scope definition, planning, estimating, efficient field execution and mechanical completion of constructed activities in proper sequence.
- Plan and prepare construction schedules and milestones and monitor progress against established schedules
- The adoption of technical solutions during construction when not under the project.
- Monitoring compliance with HSE.
- Analysis of the necessary resources for construction works.
- Hire and supervise the activities of subcontractors and subordinate staff.
- Plan ahead to prevent problems and resolve any emerging ones
- Work schedule: 6 days in a week, from 09.00 till 18.00
Requirements
- Higher education (Industrial and civil construction)
- Minimum 5 years (uninterrupted) experience of at a similar position in international construction projects
- Fluent written and spoken Azerbaijani, English and Russian
- Knowledge of relevant industry Codes and Standards
- Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, Archicad)
- Able to work to deadlines
- Must be in the age group of 30 – 50 years.
