Specialist specialized on Freight Forwarding Services
Specialist specialized on Freight Forwarding Services will work with selected companies involved into development process, under the sub sector of “Freight Forwarding Services”. The prospective Specialist will diagnose selected local companies’ current state in Freight Forwarding Services; assess their technical preparedness responding to international standard requirements. The Specialist will drive overall development process of local Freight Forwarding companies and will ensure their development through program and improve their competitiveness in international companies’ tender processes.
The Scope of Work of the Freight Forwarding Specialist will be divided into 3 parts:
1. Assess technical and management system requirements at each identified company against the scope
Review existing Freight Forwarding SOW
Shortlist Local FF companies referring to Market Report
Develop In depth Analysis tool contingent on FF SOW
Visit to selected companies and conduct in-depth Analysis
a. Produce Summary report with implication of findings and recommendations
2. Provide recommendation plan for each individual company to improve the systems assessed
a. Ensure all gaps are closed in line with Action Development Plan
b. Provide necessary recommendations where needed
3. Support the implementation of the plan and ensure the smooth completion
a. Ensure that selected companies carried out required tasks originated by Ad hoc expert
b. Produce final assignment report which will be ultimately tied up to FF Strategy
Required skills and experience
- Min 5 years of experience in Freight Forwarding Technical Background preferably with consulting experience
- Ability to conduct robust matching analysis
- Experience in Oil&Gas sector
- Solid understanding of international standard requirements (FF sector)
- Understanding of Rail way handling, booking, loading, load sketch approval requirements, provision of route survey services
- Understanding of Rail car types, capacities, shunting process
- General knowledge about best routes to Baku for shipments originated from Russia (Vladivostok), UK, EU, US, UAE
- Good knowledge of region (Caucasus) and regional ports
- Understanding of trailers used for pipe deliveries
- Knowledge of safe shipment options and ability to reveal potential risks during shipment.
- Good understanding of HSE culture
