Position: Category Manager
Department: Commercial
Direct reports: Non Food Director
Responsibilities:
Analyzing past buying trends, sales records, price, and quality of merchandise to determine value and yield.
Responsible for reviewing information about inventory, analyzing how quickly certain products have turned in the past and identifying products that have not been successful for the store.
Negotiate supplier contracts
Tracking the high demand models and ensuring that those models are properly sourced and available on demand;
Ensuring that the sales are on target and revising the estimations if not.
Analyzing and reporting to Director.
Making sales projections
Updating the Director about the current trends.
Setting the right price points for various goods after the analysis of various goods and the margins needed.
Making sure that the contract covers all necessary conditions for successful merchandising.
Identifying potential suppliers and interview, them to determine whether they are capable of producing the right quality and quantity of an item for the store.
Position Qualification
Knowledge
5 years experiences in the category Textile
Excellent communication & presentation skills.
Computer proficiency (MS Applications, reports generation).
Bilingual candidates (English).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Able to multi-task and prioritize.
Adaptable to change and comfortable within a dynamic organization.
Qualifications
Analysis of sales of goods in stores.
Price-point analysis. Inventory Management.
Monitoring category performance.
Reports analysis. Negotiation Skills.
