Requirements
 
- 8-10 years of industry experience
- Knowledge of maintenance and operations in surface mining , mining of heavy metals from class C soil and sand
- Experience in operating heavy equipment including excavators, dozers, front end loaders and haul trucks
- Knowledge of safety, health, environmental programs, guidelines, and policies
- Ability to lead and develop salary and hourly workforce to create teamwork and drive a safe and a productive environment
- Ability to lead operations to established production, safety, and environmental objectives and metrics.

Responsinbilities

- Lead and manage all safety efforts at the site for all aspects of surface mining operations including planning, heavy equipment operations, production support, quality control and maintenance functions, and overall execution of mining plans.
- Ensure compliance with the company mandated safety and environmental policies, programs and guidelines as well as regulatory compliance.
- Lead safety team and provide strong leadership, training, team building and supervision.
