Job Title: HSS Advisor
Project: South Caucasus Pipeline Expansion
Work location: Camps in Kurdamir, Goranboy and Aghstafa regions
Reports to: Health, Safety and Security Manager
Responsibilities:
Participating with HSS team members in inspectiions,
Comply with requirements of BOC and SOC cards verification.
Support the HSS Leads to ensure resources are available to audit and inspect Contractor day-to-day HSS compliance.
Assisting Sub-Contractor to implement contract deliverables within the necessary timeframes;
Working with the Sub-Contractor(s) to ensure that their assurance and compliance programmes are fully implemented.
Monitor guide and advise site construction teams on safe working practices.
Assist the site HSS teams in the development and implementation of risk action plans;
Participate in risk assessments.
Participate in weekly HSE meetings.
Contribute and participate in emergency response drills.
Carry our gas tests when required.
Ensure site conditions are safe.
Ensure barriers/signage etc is in place.
Assist in the implementation of HSS Execution Plans, procedures and other SAJV deliverables.
Act as team member on incident investigations.
Report Near miss, unsafe acts and conditions to HS leads and management.
Close out unsafe act/conditions at site where possible.
Participate in Site HSS input to the Action Tracking Register ( ATR);
Follow up and verify that actions have been adequately closed in the ATR
Monitor site conditions and act accordingly to ensure safe working practises are followed.
Confirm that project activities are conducted in conformance with local laws and Project policies, standards and procedures; and
Ensure that lessons learned during incidents are cascaded to site personnel.
Cooperate with other SAJV departments e.g.environmental/social/quality where required.
Requirements and Skills:
NEBOSH General/International certificate.
ISO 18001 Auditor; (preferable).
Knowledge of Pipeline
Knowledge and experience of oil & gas construction related activities, including industry best practice initiatives;
Trained in incident investigation.
3 years minimum in a one or more of the HSSE disciplines
High skill levels in both written and verbal communication in English language;
Computer literacy in MS Word, MS Excel, MS Project and MS Power-point;
Conducting HSS compliance and self verification inspections.
