Position Title: Topographer Surveyor

Location: Baku, Azerbaijan with occasional travel to project sites, and corporate office

Reports To: Project Manager/Construction Manager

Objective:

• Make exact measurements and determine property boundaries.
• Provide data relevant to the shape, contour, gravitation, location, elevation, or dimension of land or land features on or near the earth's surface for appropriate purposes.

Responsibilities:

 Verification of the accuracy of survey data including measurements and calculations conducted at survey sites;
 Search of legal records, survey records, and land titles to obtain information about property boundaries in areas to be surveyed;
 Calculation of heights, depths, relative positions, property lines, and other characteristics of terrain;
 Determination of map content and layout, as well as production specifications such as scale, size, projection, and colors, and direct production to ensure that specifications are followed;
 Compliance of data required for map preparation, including aerial photographs, survey notes, records, reports, and original maps;
 Revision of existing maps and charts, making all necessary corrections and adjustments;
 Record of the results of surveys including the shape, contour, location, elevation, and dimensions of land or land features;
 Coordination of findings with the work of engineering and architectural personnel, clients, and others concerned with projects; 
 Establishment of fixed points for use in making maps, using geodetic and engineering instruments;

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years’ working experience in the similar position in Civil building
• Azerbaijan citizenship
• Fluent in English
