Position: Server
Reports to: Director of Food & Beverage
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reporting to the Director of Food & Beverage, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following.
• Provide warm sincere engaging service to our guests
• Utilize suggestive selling techniques to enhance guest experience
• Treat each and every guest as a unique individual
• Follow all Fairmont service essentials rigorously
• Utilize guest name recognition and personalized individual touches to ensure our guests feel valued
• Ensure proper table maintenance is maintained at all times
• Effectively work as part of a team, assisting fellow colleagues whenever possible
• Actively participate in initial and ongoing training with focus on continued development of knowledge and service techniques
• Actively participate in communication meetings and daily shift briefs
• Continually make suggestions to improve the department
• Work in a safe manner and follow all health and safety regulations
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Provide anticipatory service
• Additional Duties as required
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Previous service experience required
• Passion for food, wine and beverage
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written in English and Azeri or Turkish is required
• Highly responsible & reliable
PHYSICAL ASPECTS OF POSITION:
Physical aspects of the position include but are not limited to the following:
• Frequent standing walking throughout shift
• Frequent lifting and carrying up to 20 lbs
• Occasional pushing, pulling, lifting
• Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps
