Job Title: Planning Engineer
Project: South Caucasus Pipeline Expansion
Work location: Camps in Kurdamir; Goranboy and Aghstafa regions
Reports to: Project Control Manager
Responsibilities:
• Prepares and submits master program of the project in consultation with Project Control Manager / Lead Planner Engineer.
• Submits planning report such as preparation of manpower requirements for the project, preparation of material procurement report in accordance with approved program.
• Coordinate with Project Control Manager / Lead Planner Engineer the effective implementation and monitoring of Look-Ahead-Schedule including the project actual accomplishments.
• Reports to the Project Management Team the status of project progress against the plan schedule and provides corrective actions necessary if the planned schedule is not achieved
• Plan and schedule the project by developing/following a project master schedule in line with the proposal requirements
• Identify and follow the project deliverables, milestones, and required tasks and targets to determine the staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of the project through the project measurement system.
• Implement the work schedule and monitor progress of the work for timely execution of the project through daily/weekly/monthly/ reports with respect to review of the overall project.
• Progress monitoring of specific project areas on a regular basis. Anticipate and resolve any problems, bottlenecks/scheduling conflicts. Prepare and maintain package work plans and monitor progress to achieve on time or earlier deliveries to keep the project on schedule.
• Ensure that project controls documents such as resources histogram, schedules, reporting systems, material controls systems, etc. are fully developed by the designated personnel and reviewed by Construction Management and that Engineering and Procurement interfaces are properly addressed.
• Perform any other duties and responsibilities as and when directed by the Supervisor/Lead Planning Engineer
Requirements:
• Minimum 5-7 years experience in project planning role, minimum of 2 years in oil and gas industry ‐ pipeline projects
• A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree is required (in Mechanical, Civil, Electrical and
Industrial Engineering);
• Good knowledge of engineering/design scope, job working instruction / procedures, good project control practices in planning and scheduling and overall awareness of projects in the field of petroleum and process industries
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, written and verbal English
• Good knowledge of MS Office (Excel, World, etc.), Primavera version 6 or later version;
• Ability to travel inside the country;
