PASHA Bank” OJSC is seeking a Trader for its Treasury Department.
ABOUT BANK
PASHA Bank is one of Azerbaijan’s leading corporate banks. Established in 2007, we offer all major financial services, including investment banking, trade financing and asset management to a range of clients, from large corporates to small and medium enterprises. The Bank works particularly closely with companies operating in the non-oil sectors of the economy, including agriculture, transportation, construction and retail, which are vital for helping Azerbaijan to diversify its economy.

 
MAIN ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES


• Executes transactions as part of the bank’s liquidity, cash and/or currency risk management;
• Subject to dealing and counterparty limits, trades in currency and interest-rate instruments or commodities on the bank’s account, possibly on the clients’ request;
• Acts as a market maker and quotes tradable prices;
• Monitors the value and risks of their position;
• Approaches existing and potential counterparties, and accepts bid and/or offer prices;
• Monitors the development of new financial instruments;
• Monitors and interprets numerical and other information on companies, sectors, markets, economies etc;
• Follows international financial, economic, political and social trends and assesses their possible effects on exchange and interest rates;
• Quickly and effectively ensures that the legal and regulatory framework is applied to the varied and sometimes unexpected situations that may occur in day-to-day business;
• Where necessary, assesses the reliability of unknown banks, brokers and other parties.

KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS

• Has a detailed knowledge of the financial instruments;
• Has a general knowledge of other financial instruments traded on the interest rate, currency and commodities markets;
• Knows the parameters that affect the value of these financial instruments;
• Understands the nature of their position’s financial risks;
• Knows the basic principles of fundamental and technical analysis;
• Is familiar with the way in which the markets and trading process are organized, and the channels whereby transactions arise;
• To know which relevant market parties are active;
• To know which counterparties they can conclude transactions with, and for what amounts;
• To know how deals are administered, guaranteed and settled;
• To know the overall macroeconomic variables that affect the pricing of interest-rate and currency instruments;
• Can assess the effects of international financial market trends on the value of financial instruments;
• To know the contents of the relevant codes of conduct;
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in related sector;
