SD2 Topside project require Piping Production engineer with key responsibilities shown below.
Role synopsis.
The successful candidate will be responsible for Piping production activities on the construction platforms.
Key accountabilities.
• Create workpacks in line with the correct workpacks’ number and cost planning codes.
• Allocate work pack numbers to Isometric drawings.
• Review ISO’s including the ODN’s (Outward Delivery Note) to fabrication shops as per release note.
• Require ODN’s for erection from material control department.
• Issue erection workpacks including the ODN’s to site according to erection release note.
• Prepare material requisitions and register them.
• Quantify man-hour content of piping spools against isometric drawings in order to identify Piping Fabrication or Erection Progress.
• Control fabrication and erection of spools.
• Input the spool information into the system (Oracle Database).
• Review revised Isometrics and issue them to either the fabrication shops or to the erection supervisors, also updating the system (Oracle Database).
• Coordinate material issue, report fabrication progress and issue notices for critical actions.
• Review scope changes, additional works or reworks and initiate revision orders / change orders.
• Solve problems and initiate site queries to ensure fabrication productivity.
• Create test packs according isometrics, P&ID and test isometrics.
• Compile the test pack PITR (Piping Inspection Test records) forms; mark up the limits on the Isometrics update the testing register, and control of all elements of testing, including liaising with Punchlist personnel, QC, certification and Test Group to ensure a constant flow of test packs are moving through the system.
• Follow and control testing procedures.
• Conduct safety walks through in the site in co-ordination with the safety department on weekly basis.
• Supervise of all piping works and ensure safety and quality standards of the client.
Essential Education
• Higher National Certificate/ Higher National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Engineering.
Essential experience and job requirements
• Substantial experience with effectively interfacing and working together with owner/ contractor engineering & construction personnel and with multi-discipline site teams.
• High level of expertise in comprehending and interpreting engineering & construction specifications, drawings, and other technical documents
• Detailed knowledge of fabrication & erection techniques used for offshore platforms and associated codes and standards.
• Experience with exotic materials and high pressure systems a distinct advantage
