SGC was established to consolidate, manage and finance state’s interests in the full-field development of the “Shah Deniz” gas-condensate field, the expansion of the South Caucasus Pipeline, construction of the Trans Anatolian (TANAP) and Trans Adriatic (TAP) Pipelines. SGC has undertaken onward financing of the projects, while operational management of the projects is continued to be provided by SOCAR.

Chief Specialist at Commercial & Operations Department

Summary:

Supervision of commercial matters related to the full field development of the “Shah Deniz” gas condensate field, the expansion of the South Caucasus Pipeline, the construction of the Trans Anatolian (TANAP) and Trans Adriatic (TAP) Pipelines. This position reports to the Director of Commercial and Operations department.

Responsibilities:

1) Receive, review and verify Cash Calls and Payment Notices from the operators of the Projects and subsidiary companies.
2) Receive, review and verify relevant accounting, financial and production information.
3) Prepare and maintain the records of all major work done by the department. 
4) Be acquainted with key agreements of each of the corresponding Projects.
5) Prepare documents for bond emissions and issues by SGC.
6) Work with the Legal Department to prepare loan agreements between the parent and subsidiary companies.
7) Oversee and participate in the preparation of the monthly report of the department.
8) Receive and review monthly progress reports from the operators of the Projects and subsidiary companies and assist in the preparation of the monthly report of the company in regards to the Projects.
9) Prepare and present company information at official meetings, conferences, forums, etc.
10) Assist the relevant departments in preparing official letters to the operators, subsidiary companies and other institutions

Requirements:

a) University degree in finance, accounting, business administration, other related fields of study
b) ACCA/CIMA partly completion or CFA II level is preferred
c) 2-3 years of work experience in related field.
d) High standard of written and spoken English and Azeri
e) Good presentation skills
f) Detail oriented and highly motivated
g) Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
h) Ability to work independently and in teams
