Job Title: Graduate Engineer (Vibration)

Location: Baku, Azerbaijan

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB:

Principal Duties, Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

To be trained in vibration activities associated to the designated asset(s) and co-ordinate and administrate all associated activities. Learn to follow recognized procedures and use company resources to execute the planned activity. To ensure survey results are review and analysed and that any follow up work/anomalies are auctioned correctly

Principal Duties, Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

• Under supervision to review qualitative assessments of all pipe work systems from ongoing inspection activities
• Under supervision review quantitative assessments from the vibration contractor to determine the likelihood of failure for all main lines
• Under supervision review quantitative assessments from the vibration contractor to determine the likelihood of failure for all small-bore connections
• Under supervision review quantitative assessments from the vibration contractor to determine the likelihood of failure for thermowells
• Under supervision review visual assessments of piping systems to determine areas requiring further investigation/scope
• Ensure the specialist vibration measurement techniques applied by vibration contractor are suitable and appropriate where applicable as advised by a qualified vibration Engineer
• Prepare vibration survey work packs in accordance with client policy and procedure.
• Keep all vibration anomalies tracked and ensure the appropriate remedial action is identified and implemented
• Act as the focal point to prioritise all vibration activities to ensure the whole plant is considered when reviewing anomalies/remedial actions
• Ensure the third party specialist contractor performs these work scopes in line with expectations

General

• The list of duties is not exclusive and the post holder will be required to undertake tasks that may reasonably be expected within the scope of the position.
• Assist with any other duties as and when required
• Undertake specific projects as instructed by management

Safety

• Attend LM's or client safety meetings as requested
• Ensure that the Safety policies and procedures are understood and adhered to so far as is reasonably practicable in order to ensure a safe working environment

Other

• Carry out work in accordance with the Company Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Systems
• Perform the assigned tasks with due diligence regarding the Integrated Management Systems on the Company
Eliminate waste of whatever form, to suggest the use of more environmentally friendly substances and practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of the environment

QUALIFICATIONS & TRAINING:

• Degree in Engineering related discipline (e.g. mechanical/structural) (E)
• Recognized mechanical/Electrical apprenticeship and associated qualifications, HNC, Degree (E).

TRAINING

• Achieve VA1course within six(6) months and complete the exam for VA1 and VA2 within Eighteen (18) months (EX).
• Attend various courses including basic and advances vibration analysis (VA)(EX)
• Attend courses related to strain gauge operation and analysis, including equipment operation (EX)
• Attend various awareness courses for vibration and condition monitoring techniques (EX)
• Attend various courses to enable greater use of company administrative software packages, i.e. MS Office, ACET etc (EX)
Attend BOSIET training and all site inductions required for access to all the clients assets (EX)
