Blue Planet Distribution LLC is announcing a vacancy of  Buyer.

Job duties:

• Forecasting levels of demand for services and products to meet the business needs and keeping a constant check on stock levels;
• Conducting research to ascertain the best products and suppliers in terms of best value, delivery schedules and quality;
• Liaising between suppliers, manufacturers, relevant internal departments and customers;
• Identifying potential suppliers, visiting existing suppliers, and building and maintaining good relationships with them;
• Negotiating and agreeing contracts and monitoring their progress, checking the quality of service provided;
• Place local and international purchase orders, processing payments and invoices
• Ensure timely delivery of all orders
• Handle urgent customer requests immediately
• Selecting new products and reviewing the old
• Finding the right suppliers
• Negotiating prices
• Ensuring the products are delivered on time
• Helping to interpret reports and predicting future sales
• Pitching ideas to Management
• Stock control
• Budgeting
• Reacting to any changes in customer demand
• Getting feedback from customers
• Forecasting price trends and their impact on future activities;
• Giving presentations about market analysis and possible growth;
• Developing an organization’s purchasing strategy;

Required Skills and experience

• Minimum 2 years experience of management experience within a purchasing department
• Excellent face-to-face and telephone conversation skills.
• Able to demonstrate success and experience about managing suppliers and large contracts
• Strong responsibility, self-motivated and can work under high pressure
• Flexible, patient and solution-focused
• Good MS Office skills, particularly Excel and Word
• Fluent in Azeri, Russian and English
