Job Title:  Performance Coach

Location:  Azerbaijan

A vacancy has arisen for a Performance Coach position as part of the onshore and Offshore Business Unit.
The Performance Coach will report to Rig Optimisation Engineer and is responsible for the identification and implementation of performance enhancement measures.

Objectives:

Make regular offshore visits to all KCA Deutag operations in the Caspian region.
Identify and implement performance enhancing measures where they have one of more of the following benefits:   i) Increased revenue for KCAD,  ii) Enhancement of KCAD HS&E culture,  iii) Time saving leading to the reduction of operating cost, iv) Increased productivity
Train KCAD personnel in the use of EDRS. Oversee the use and maintenance of the Enhanced Drilling Reporting System (EDRS) to enable performance measurement and benchmarking.
Ensure operational lessons are captured and correctly validated in the EDRS Lessons Learned database, and that key personnel are trained in its use.
Ensure all data is gathered and reported in a consistent and reliable manner. Recognise that relevant KPI’s are suitable for task and provide feedback for KPI reviews as required.
Identify ‘Best Practices’ within assigned rig operation and ensure they are documented, shared and implemented.
Work with rig crews to create and maintain a positive working environment which supports continuous improvement.  Encourage, solicit and document crew suggestions for performing work in a safer and more efficient manner. Highlight relevant KPI’s that are being used to measure relevant activities.
Ensure operational lessons are captured and correctly validated in the EDRS Lessons Learned database, and that key personnel are trained in its use.
Carry out regular operational audits, identifying improvement opportunities.
Provide input to monthly performance presentations generated by ROE.
Participate in: DWOP, RWI, After Action Reviews and Performance Meetings as required.
Provide support to both Operations and Maintenance teams as directed/required.
Provide support and input technical knowledge to assist with any rig survey/upgrade/modification if requested. Facilitate an efficient communication channel between all relevant parties and ensure upgrades or modifications are documented and progress reported.
Facilitate quality communications between onshore and offshore teams.
Help people present ideas in a professional and practical way that aids clear understanding of proposals or options by appropriate parties.
Coach offshore supervision in providing performance feedback to the crews. Recognise positive behaviour and give feedback as appropriate.

Requirements :

Current offshore medical & BOSIET.  IWCF an advantage but not essential.
Advanced level of English both written and spoken.
In depth knowledge of EDRS.
Experience of both cyber and manual drilling operations.
Good computer skills in Word, Excel, Powerpoint etc.
Good communication and presentation skills.
Ability to engage the offshore teams in the Company’s performance improvement objectives.
