Spare parts sales specialist (SKF)

Key Responsibilities:

• Promote and maintain positive long term customer relationships.
• Perform regular customer visits and prospect and pursue Bearing parts demand and other related parts and accessories
• Develop customer profile database and maintain all required reports regarding the customers in the sales territory
• Population records with customer demographic information (name, address, email etc) and purchases in parts, service, etc.
• Develop, identify and quantify new customers
• Assess customer buying habits
• Develop, perform and coordinate market and opinion surveys to assess necessary information such as company sales and market position, customer satisfaction and requirements
• Effectively communicate features, benefits, and warranty policy information to customers
• Forward special orders and stock order request to the Inventory Control Specialist and Parts Manager in a timely fashion. Keep the Parts Manager informed as to any problems within the inventory or parts department to minimize inconveniences. (Including but not limited to inventory discrepancies, and unauthorized removal of inventory, etc.)
• Provide quotes for customer and able to determine pricing for all parts according to company policies. Insure all orders are placed and verified in a timely fashion to meet their needs. Also insure all paper work has the proper signatures, purchase order numbers, required documentation, is billed as agreed, both timely and accurately to meet the requirements of customer
• Completes all reporting requirements as directed in a timely manner
• Properly record all Sales, Lost Sales and Special Orders within the guidelines of the computerized inventory system. Write "Stock Out Slips" whenever taking or selling the last part from inventory
• Determine fast moving parts and maintain minimum stock level
• Process warranty parts by tagging each part, date, cause of failure, etc. placing part in proper storage location; completing the necessary paper work or computer claims forms
• Performs other duties assigned by his supervisor

Required Competencies

• Preferred degree in mechanical
• Minimum of  5 (three) years experience related to Sales & marketing of Bearings and related accessories.
• Commercially and business focus, target driven and “self-going” initiator skills
• Strong customer orientation and marketing understanding
• Highly developed communication skills (both in writing and verbally, in local language & English), with a versatile, competitive and enthusiastic personality
• Excellent computer skills using Word, Power Point, Outlook and Excel software
• Good understanding of financial and pricing principles and discounting effects
• A good working knowledge of sales techniques and methodologies
• A good knowledge of marketing statistical techniques
• Valid driver’s license and a good driving record
